A Lovely Evening for Some Coloring

Hi there. How are you?

Last week I took a trip back to my hometown to host an adult coloring party at the Rockford Art Museum. What a blast!

I hosted an adult coloring party on May 12 at the Rockford Art Museum. So fun!

A Lovely Setting

The party took place right in the middle of the main gallery at the museum. The current exhibition features work by Stephen Warde Anderson, a nationally known "outsider" artist and Rockford native. It's really delightful! Do try to catch it before it closes on May 30th.

All of the guests got a copy of Elegant Abstracts, my newest coloring book.

Coloring and wine go well together

Each guest received a copy of my new "Elegant Abstracts" coloring book and the museum supplies lovely Prismacolor pencils for them to use.  I shared a couple of colored pencil techniques and then we drank wine, socialized, and colored!

Here are some snaps from the evening:

Thanks to all who attended. I had a blast and hope you did too!

Would you like to hold an adult coloring party?

I'd love to host more coloring parties like this. Would you like me to come to your home, your library, or your event and lead some coloring? Do get in touch!

Until next week. Ciao!

My Hometown Art Fair this Weekend!

Hi there. How are you?

I'm excited to be heading my hometown of Rockford, Illinois this weekend for the Greenwich Village Art Fair. This is my favorite fair of the year! Find me in booth 90, right across from the Point Lounge. I will debut some brand new, never before seen pieces at Greenwich. Be excited! I am!

As you may be able to tell, I'm feeling much better and more confident since my last post.  There's been no miraculous improvement in my business, but I've simply realized (again) that I like making art, and I'll continue to make it. Sales will come! Until then, I'm keeping my head down and enjoying the artmaking process. Thanks to all of you for your continued support.

Looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces in Rockford this weekend.  Ta-Ta for now.

Hi There. How are you?
Not much to say today.... Here is my week in photos.

I got some more good snaps on my workday walkabout.

I stopped to visit my friend Heather's roosters along the way.

We went up to Rockford this weekend to visit Jack.
He's at the age where he hates when I take his picture, so this is the only one I got.
Aren't Matt and Jack twinish?

We spent some time shopping local in downtown Rockford.
If you live in Rockford and haven't been to the Rockford Art Deli, you're missing out!
It's an awesome space and you'll enjoy their humorous Rockford themed t-shirts.

I'm obsessed with the late afternoon autumn light these days.

Matt and I are catching the train down to New Orleans tonight. Expect some great snaps next week. Happy Thanksgiving!

P.S. I'm have a stupid big Black Friday Sale. Read about it on the blog later today or tomorrow!
